G'day Everyone,
For sale is a Single DIN Headunit Facia to suit Brumby (Not sure if it suits Leone) (Headunit, Cubby or other plastics not included.)
This is something I've designed & printed out of ABS plastic. it's been painted Charcoal to (mostly) match the Subaru Brumby interior. It is 3D printed & not 100% perfect.
As you can see, it's been installed into my Brumby & works as it should.
I had to cut out the original bottom cubby hole & install into the big space there. I used a hacksaw blade to get into the slits that run into the corners & cut it out. Send me a message if you need one & I'll throw one in.
I'm using a half length head unit, (KENWOOD KMM BT306) as I didn't need a CD drive. I'm not 100% sure if a full length one will fit. if you're interested in purchasing to suit a full length one, I may be able to re-design to suit.
Installation:
Step 1, Remove center console to be able to remove dashboard trim radio will mount to.
Step 2, Cut out original bottom cubby & remove, also remove ashtray & old radio to give you more room to work.
Step 3, Install your radio into the Facia Surround with the M5 screws provided. (if not M5, you will have to source your own screws)
Step 4, Install Facia into the dashboard trim, locate the 3 holes at the bottom of the facia onto the 3 on the dash trim. They're a pretty tight fit, so make sure you press them in before screwing.
Step 5, Install screws with washers provided making sure you don't overtighten them.
Step 6, There are 3 locating slots you'll have to glue with the superglue provided. You can glue 1, 2 or all 3. you may have to press them in & hold it tight while the glue hardens. This should only take a minute. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE RADIO INTO THE FACIA FIRST.
Step 7, Install the screw into the plastic tab & ashtray mount to secure the ashtray.
If you've purchased the Radio Cubby as well, now is the time to install it. (Check my other listings for this)
Wire up the radio & reinstall the dash trim back into the Brumby. it should look the same, if not better than mine!
Enjoy!
Any questions or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks!
